What started as a personal journey of a doctor turned patient morphed into a way to share what’s universal in dealing with cancer, in my case a nasty leukemia (CLL), a failed transplant and a successful clinical trial. The telling of my journey has become a journey to teach about CLL, related blood issues and all cancers. Please visit our new website http://cllsociety.org for the latest news and information. Portrait of Dr Brian Koffman by Will Koffman Summer 07
It has been about 24 hours since I found out . I am so deeply moved by the way you have chosen to face your own mortality, I am weeping in the moment & so grateful for the gift of knowing EXACTLY WHY . I feel more in touch with my own mortality . Thank you for being so raw & open to sharing yourself @ this most sensitive time.
Hello Doc, Nice picture! We are hoping to hear the good news that everything went well with your bone marrow transplant- and you are normal again. Our prayers are always with you and hope to see you soon in Diamond Bar. I always wonder, is there any earlier indication for this dreaded disease or just one fine morning you will find out that you have it? Wishing you All the Best! Susan Paranandi & Family From Diamond Bar
Will, your portryal of your father through so many unique qualities that he displays & how your ability to capture those really says how very much he is loved by his son.
I'm glad you found me at Huffington Post. I've just began to start delving into your journey. I will have to take it in bits and pieces but I'll try to swallow some at every sitting here at my desk.
What a mensch! Your patients and family and wife are very blessed people to have you in their life.
