I was lucky to get ibrutinib. I was also lucky this trial is available at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where I live. So far it has been wonderful! No side effects, lymph nodes shrinking, counts getting back to normal. I had FCR in 2010, but relapsed in 2012, less than 2 years after the treatment. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2008 at 47. Since then my CLL has been very aggressive. I strongly advise anyone who is considering it to enroll in this trial. It feels good to know that you are part of this wonderful effort.
