What started as a personal journey of a doctor turned patient morphed into a way to share what’s universal in dealing with cancer, in my case a nasty leukemia (CLL), a failed transplant and a successful clinical trial. The telling of my journey has become a journey to teach about CLL, related blood issues and all cancers. Please visit our new website http://cllsociety.org for the latest news and information. Test Day
Test Day
A whirlwind series of tests in a single day. Advanced medical apparatuses, stranger than their science fiction counterparts, permeate, investigate, and evaluate Brian's inner workings to ensure his strength for the operation.
Brian, Best of luck with your tests and forcoming transplant. Having read your blog, I know you are ready for an interesting journey. I'll be following your progress. A CLL'er since '97
We have all been blessed to have you as our doctor over the years, for yours is a heart that is pure and full of love. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family everyday as you journey down the road to recovery. May God bless you and your family and give you the strength to endure the fight that lies ahead.
It was so good to see you on Wednesday. It is so much easier to judge how someone is really doing in person. You look great and truly are ready for your big adventure.
Having only had a handful of the tests that you have had (and none of them being painful) I can only imagine everything you have been through and will go through. Please know that you are in our prayers daily. For a quick and speedy recovery and that you will be able to return to DB much sooner than mid 2009.
May God give you the peace and understanding that you need during your journey.
Thank you for giving us the chance to follow you on your journey and get to know you better. Your blog is the perfect opportunity to tell you what a wonderful and gifted doctor you are. We so appreciate your insight and alternative thinking. We also really appreciate your compassion and humor. You gotta love your Dr. when he dresses up on Halloween :) We will miss you and hope to see you back soon doing what you are so good at!!
Thank you for sharing this part of your journey with us. I think of you often and pray for as you prepare for July. God is good! I look forward to hearing all of the good news.
