What started as a personal journey of a doctor turned patient morphed into a way to share what’s universal in dealing with cancer, in my case a nasty leukemia (CLL), a failed transplant and a successful clinical trial. The telling of my journey has become a journey to teach about CLL, related blood issues and all cancers. Please visit our new website http://cllsociety.org for the latest news and information. Slow down
Good news. Very good news. At UCSD today and my platelets were a salubrious 256,000 and my palpable nodes are essentially unchanged in 3 months, according to the learned fingers of Dr. Kipps. Rest of the blood work was that wonderful phrase: within normal limits. Maybe time if not to throw the engine in reverse as I race to a second transplant, to at least make a pit stop and carefully plan my next move.
Ah Brian-such very good news. Slow and steady wins the race

Dear Dr. K,
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo! What wonderful news....As I was sitting at the DB office today waiting to have my blood drawn I was wishing you were back there full time. Hurry and get back to 100% normal. We all miss you............there is no other doctor like you!
I'm glad to hear it, Brian. Maybe the relaxed activities lately have good effect! Enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteGood news, enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHow are the travel plans going?
Shabbat Shalom from rainy London
