Brian's daughter Rachael here. We filled dad's room to capacity today, playing scrabble and guitar. His counts are good and spirts way up. The day before the transplant, we couldn't feel more ready to do this. Go dad go!
What started as a personal journey of a doctor turned patient morphed into a way to share what’s universal in dealing with cancer, in my case a nasty leukemia (CLL), a failed transplant and a successful clinical trial. The telling of my journey has become a journey to teach about CLL, related blood issues and all cancers. Please visit our new website http://cllsociety.org for the latest news and information. This is your big day. The day those bad CLL cells get the meet there match. By now, your donor cells should be tucked away safely waiting to go to work. Get them boys!

Brian,
ReplyDeleteThere are many people thinking of you and sending positive throughts and prayers. Be well my friend and look forward to more good news and stories.
Way to go Brian! Praying for you today as the battle moves from planning and preparation to cell-to-cell combat. It is indeed a miracle.
ReplyDeleteLet us thank and praise God for the work he is about to do in you.
Dear Brian and family,
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you on this important day! Take care and give my best to Ivy.

Dear Brian,
ReplyDeleteWe missed you, and spoke of you, at the Mifgash at Haim's over the weekend, and we look forward with joy and confidence to your joining us again next year. I am a regular donor of platelets at City of Hope, I'll make an appointment to do that again in the next week or so.
Thinking of you, with love,
Claire
You are on your way to the "Big Time"
ReplyDelete"...Talkin' bout a friend of mine
Talkin' bout a gold mine
Richest vein in any mountain
Talkin' bout the enemy
Inside of me
Talkin' bout
That youthful fountain
Talkin' bout you and me
Talkin' bout eternity
Talkin' bout the big time..."
...Neil Young
Onwards to victory!
Edward, Marianne, Claire, Lauren, and Aidan
Brain,
ReplyDeleteMay the bag of miracles cure you and take away all the CLL. I am the cheerleader hoping, praying and walking behind in awe.
Wanda
