Doing better. CT scan and x-rays of my sinuses are scheduled. Waiting for antibiotic and increased antiherpetic meds, but the hot shower and being upright in a chair and mostly the distraction of my son's visit have really helped. Everything is worse at night, which means everything is better during the daylight

Dr. Koffman, I have been reading your blogs daily and know the fight is on. Glad to read that music is part of your fighting artillary. You are from the sixites! Grow it long or shave it off. The big question of the last 4decades. I say rev up that razor. Hippiness is an attitude and a lifestyle anyways...:) Sending you my best, everyday.. Tracey
Maybe a good boring book will help you sleep at night. I have a one bookshelf full of them if you need!
Dear Brian,
I check in every day. Wow! As you probably remember my neutrophils have been almost nothing for well over a year. 400 not 4000! I am not tired, so maybe your being tired is from something else. Also, at 400 I don't get sick or have infections. The T cells or the incredible body can find ways around things that are not working right. Don't get me wrong, it is very scary to live with a number of 400. As in any big pneumonia or etc. and I might be toast. However, one can live very well with 400, and not be tired.
I can't believe you really did it. It is such an amazing frontal assault! And, then to have the timing turn out to be on the heels of the beloved PC's passing.
My prayers and love are with you each day. The journal is indeed awesome and amazing because for the first time, ever, I thought to myself....I could do that.
Nancy
