" I can see clearly now" Johnny Nash

So here's the plan.

Repeat the CT scan in about 6 weeks.

If Dr. Forman is  impressed by the change in the nodes, then it is time for chemo, likely FCR for 3 courses, followed by a BMB  and CT to check it did the job, then a repeat transplant, likely in the spring. Dr. F. is letting the donor know to be prepared.

If it shows no progression of the disease, Dr. Forman keeps me on a short leash. and if and when there is evidence of progression,  we start the above plan.

DLI is off the table. Too high a risk of aplastic anemia. That was a curve ball I was not expecting, but I must respect. FCR is also a non starter for the reasons I previously stated.

I will blog on the DLI  and this whole process again very soon.

In every sense of the words, I can live with this.

It poured rain on the drive to City of Hope. The sun was out by the time we hit home in Newport Beach.

Can you read my mood? More upbeat for sure. I can see clearly now.

You have a game plan! Lets hope it evolves as you wish.

I am sorry you have to make these plans. I am also 11q-, unmutated (of course) ZAP-70+, etc etc.

I've never gotten a complete remission, and I am reluctant to do a transplant. My wife is ill herself, and could not take care of me. I have no other living relatives.

I am used to the idea of death, and know it will come to all of us. It's just a matter of time.

I will fight as hard as I can, but I will not suffer.

I will see you at COH. I will be in the room next to yours. The one with the GVHD.

There is always hope. Just look around the corner to find it. Sounds like there's a plan and that of course gives you more control-you will succeed for you settle for nothing less

Dear Dr. K,

I have finally found the time to catch up on the last few weeks. We have both been fighting some battles, fortunately a totally different one! Mine is with identity theft. Seems like someone out there would rather be me......if they only knew.....

At least now you have a game plan. As I have always said its the not knowing that is the hardest. I wish it was a differnt plan, but at least we know have direction for you.

You are in our thoughts & prayers.

Oh yes......And one more thought......How about them Kings......they might just make it this year......

Holiday blessings to you and yours.

Judy
