ASH 2013: The Joys of Travel
But I am busy texting and emailing and trying to reschedule what I can. And hopefully I can sleep a bit on the plane and shuttle.
Thankfully, most of the interviews don't start until tomorrow afternoon, but the rearranging means I may need to miss some of the lectures that I wanted to catch.
I can't do everything. Can't be everywhere at once.
I still expect ASH 2013 to be a stellar meeting for those of us with blood cancers, and I expect to be back in my stride by tomorrow.
This is all fixable stuff. No big deal. Minor annoyances. As those of us with cancer know too well, that is not something that we can always say.
Expect a brief update tomorrow, late.

Have a safe, healthy & productive trip.
I am optimistic that the delay a) will give you more time to recover before getting on the plane, and b) your distinguished interviewees will be flexible and realize that especially during these fast changing times in CLL treatment, we CLLers need their input to help make sense of it all!
Thanks Brian for fighting through your nasty crud, fixing all the important glass in your life, and working so hard to get to ASH despite the aircraft mess. Don't sweat it, you are doing everything you can. If you get stuck in Baton Rouge overnight and have some energy, treat yourself and go play some blackjack or roulette on the riverboat and listen to the Creoles talk to each other... its pure, relaxing, and usually humor filled poetry and you won't care about your cards or your hassle. : )
